The Anatomy of Sitting at Work

Good Posture allows your back to do its job of supporting you.

Use these tools for improving your sitting posture and help prevent backache, stiffness, fatigue and injury.

Sitting In Your Chair:

1.Lumbar Supports are useful when you sit to the back of your chair and let your natural curve be stabilized, it should be positioned in the small of your back.

2.Seat Wedges tip your pelvis forward to help restore your lumbar curve. Approx 2” works best.

3.Elbows and legs should be at 90 degrees, which will encourage the lumbar curve.

4.Telephones should be to your left and calculator at your right, if you are right handed.

5.Monitor placement should be approximately at the length of your arm away and the screen should be between the tip of your nose and corner of your mouth, to keep the neck muscles more relaxed.
