The best one in town. Guaranteed!!! Why is there somebody driving all the way from Albuquerque to this particular place? Ask yourself! All the a$$holes that rate this place poorly deserve a punch in the nose! The best selection, best crew that actually have knowledge about what they do there, specially the star of the star liquors SEVERIN (yes, the Russian guy). Highly recommended!!!

Some of the employees can be rude, it's as if they don't care that you are giving them your business... No thank you, sometimes not even saying a word. I've had more than a few really poor experiences with their staff in this way. They give a lot of attention to friends that come in, but if they don't know you, it's as if you don't exist. Another experience like that, and it'll easy to take my business elsewhere.

That guy that griped about the ID issue is totally right on. I've seen the Russian guy at Star outright ask a native why he didn't have a driver's license? Seriously, what business of it is his as far as why somebody doesn't have a driver's license? Maybe it's suspended, maybe the customer is so green that he bikes everywhere but the real slap in the face was seeing the Russian guy gladly accept an international driver's license from some kid that looked 19 at best. This store could be awesome because their inventory is second to none and the store is pretty clean but fire the rude employees, PLEASE!!!!

Star Liquor discriminates against Native American Indians. Forget using your ID from your native tribe as proof of age because these guys claim to revert to the Colorado Liquor Code Article 47, Title 12 stating that they cannot accept the ID as being a valid form of identification and proof of age. Still, I have a friend that used an unofficial copy of his birth certificate and another buddy on the FLC Soccer Team that uses his ID from another country. An unofficial birth certificate without a notary stamp can be forged and I see no difference between a driver’s license from another country and a native ID from right here in these awesomely united states. I clearly look 21 and have offered my passport as a parallel verification of my identification but I think it is clear that Star Liquor does not like Native American Indians. The place is clean but where there are some friendly and knowledgeable employees, a couple of the employees are really rude.
