pumpkins
Just north of Cortez is Jones farm. A family operation with Bud in the field picking pumpkins and Bobbie sellling them. Somehow we missed seeing Dick. Lots of varieties of pumpkins, some for eating and others for cooking. Also multiple varieties of decorative gourds. The atmosphere is perfect for kids and Bobbie's beautiful art work lends a festive mood. We plan to return for the pumpkin feast next weekend. We hope to have a few little kids in tow to check out all the animals -both in the petting zoo and Dick.

What a fun activity to take the grandkids!
I think Jones Farms is a great place to bring children and share the farm lifestyle! Plus you can get farm fresh produce and I don't have to worry about where my carrots came from!

Loved Seeing the Farm
Thank you for sharing the photos of the farm. They're wonderful! I know the whole family has put a lot of work into this project and it shows. I hope some day soon I can get to Cortez and enjoy picking a pumpkin and visiting with you on the farmhouse patio with a cool iced tea.
