I went there a few times to try it out, the staff was great and very nice. I could tell that they worked hard to get to know you. However my last visit I witnessed a man literally yelling at an employee for no apparent reason. I think it was due to my astonishment that I was approached by another member who told me it was the owner and treats everyone like crap. Its to bad that such a nice place is owned by such an irrational person, it doesn't seem like he cares even a sliver of the amount his employees did. I was so distraught after this I collected my children and left, and wont go back again.

The Durango Sports Club has a great staff that knows you by name if you are there enough. It can sometimes be frustrating that some of the cardio equipment is in short supply. The Sports Club does offer some great classes throughout the entire day. I really enjoyed the Beginner Pilates class with Diane, she was patient and taught the class no matter how many were in attendance. The Sports Club also offers a nice locker room with a dry sauna and hot tob.

The outdoor pool at Durango Sports Club is one of the most relaxing places to spend time in the summer. There is a nice area of grass surrounding the pool where you can leisurely spend time. The pool doesn't normally get very crowded on the weekend, so it is usually easy to find a chair to lie on or a space on the grass. There is a child care service available at the sports club which is nice for parents with small children.

I recently started going to the Gym. The staff at the Durango Sports club is very helpful. The class teachers and trainers are all very friendly and helpful. The Durango Sports club has a very motivational atmosphere.

The best thing about the Sports Club is that they offer a plethora of classes at varying times throughout the day. There's Nia, pilates, yoga, step, even karate. In addition to the classes, they have racquetball courts, tons of free weights and weight machines, cardio machines, and even a swimming pool. Although, it would be much better if it were inside so it could be used all year long. Hint hint. Their staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the cardio machines tend to all get filled at about 5pm. I guess there's no way to help that, but maybe they could get some more machines.

While it's location is sometimes out of the way for me, I still manage to find myself at this gym. Their yoga classes are reasonably priced (a punch pass brings it to around $5) and cater to a variety of practices (depending on whose class you go to). The changing rooms are complete with a wet & dry sauna and a hot tub for soaking. Just recently I started attending their ski preparatory aerobics class and was impressed at how challenging & targeted this course is to skiing muscles. It seems like a great way to avoid injury going into the new season!
