Wow! Our kids love the new Discovery Museum! So interactive; and parents and children can learn together. What a fantastic job! Durango is so lucky to have it! Thanks so much for your hard work!

With all of the Earth Day Celebrations and a teacher planning day, I thought what a fabulous day to send Nana with some little one's to the advertised $2/person all ages welcome day at the Durango Discovery Museum. How disappointing to arrive at 11am on Earth Day grandparent and children, only to be charged full admission and told "thry couldn't get the event together so it's full admission price day." Really? I support many philanthropic interests community and others around the world. Honesty, dependability, and loyalty are some of the traits I look for to judge the integrity of an organization. Durango Discovery is a tremendous asset in our community. I would appreciate the operation and its organizers treating the community with a little more respect! Were this a business, my patronage would have been lost along with my family's support. Please don't bite the hand that feeds you. Please don't hold your community over a barrell simply because you are a unique non-profit in our small town.

And the Discovery Museum provides just that for our community. Our children are the future of our country and giving them every opportunity to learn and grow should be our first priority.

I grew up in this area and my family would always have to travel a long way to get to the cool kid's museums. I think it's fantastic that Durango will finally have a place for kids to explore, experiment and learn more about science right in their back yards! Oh, and the Powerhouse building is probably one of the coolest buildings in town. Way to go DDM!
